Türkiye Welcomes the First Unlock Education Changemakers
On March 28, AXA Türkiye launched the Unlock Education partnership locally, welcoming the first two selected social entrepreneurs:
- Ashoka Fellow Mine Ekinci, with her organization KODA, is building a powerful network of teachers, students, and communities to transform village schools in Türkiye into centers of opportunity and pride, empowering young teachers as local leaders and redefining what quality education means for rural children.
- Ashoka Fellow Zafer Elcik turned his brother’s struggle with autism into a global movement for inclusive learning. Through Otsimo, he is democratizing access to special education with a game-based platform that empowers children with autism and their families to learn, communicate, and thrive.
The event also featured Yavuz Ölken, CEO of AXA Türkiye, on stage, alongside more than 1,000 AXA collaborators who joined and contributed to the energy of the event.
These moments of celebration are more than just a launch; they mark the beginning of a shared journey to build bridges between the social and business sectors, and to rethink education as a driver of social cohesion.
